"King"Kenny Roberts at Mallory Park leading one of the races in the 1975 Transatlantic series. You can just see the snow starting to fall, but it didn’t stop Kenny from getting the knee down.
Looking at this picture of Joeys "Downtown Radio" Honda brings back so many memories of the great races Joey had at this stage of his career. It still "hurts" to think about Joey and his untimely death, but all the great memories he give us will never fade. I don’t really know why but this is one of my favorite pictures I have taken of Joey. I think you can almost tell what he is thinking and although he is at the start line first, with time to spare, he is still checking things over to make sure all is well.
This photo is all about being in the right place at the right time! Joey takes a rare break from working on his bikes to pose for photographers. Alan Irwin on his 250 Yamaha in the warm up area at Kirkistown. I always thought Alan was a very underrated rider and, to me was getting better and better just as he give up racing.
